SD – Scroll Depth
Definition
Scroll Depth measures how far users scroll down a page – typically in percentages (25%, 50%, 75%, 90%). This metric shows whether content is actually consumed or if users drop off early. In GA4, the scroll event is automatically triggered at 90% scroll depth.
Optimization Tips
Place key information and CTAs at different scroll positions. Use visual anchors (images, headings) to motivate further scrolling. Trim redundant content. Test different content lengths.
