CPCV (Cost per Completed View) measures the cost per fully watched video ad. Unlike CPV, which counts after just a few seconds, CPCV only captures videos watched to the end. This makes CPCV a more precise indicator of genuine engagement and brand impact for video campaigns.

Formula

CPCV = Total Cost / Number of Complete Video Views

Optimization Tips

Shorten videos to optimal length for each platform (6-15 seconds for bumpers, 15-30 seconds for in-stream). Create captivating intros. Use subtitles and visual storytelling. Test different video lengths against each other.
