MCR – Micro Conversion Rate
Definition
The Micro Conversion Rate measures the percentage of users who reach smaller intermediate goals – e.g., newsletter signup, adding product to cart, watching a video, or downloading a PDF. Micro conversions are leading indicators for the later macro conversion (purchase) and help identify weaknesses in the funnel.
Optimization Tips
Define clear micro conversions for each funnel stage. Track them in GA4 as events. Optimize transitions between funnel stages. Use micro conversions as signals for smart bidding strategies.
