Definition

The Checkout Conversion Rate measures the percentage of users who start the payment process and successfully complete it. Unlike the general conversion rate, it focuses exclusively on the last funnel stage and shows optimization potential in the payment process.

Formula

Checkout CR = (Completed Purchases / Checkout Starts) × 100

Optimization Tips

Minimize the number of checkout steps. Offer express checkout (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal). Display trust signals (SSL, trust badges) prominently. Avoid surprise additional costs in the final step.
